End of an Era - Starting from November 1, 2024, Citroen will no longer be accepting new model orders in Australia, marking the end of its reign as the country's longest-running automotive brand.

Reason for Exit - We hear that the latest decision was made due to poor demand, with five-year sales averaging 200 units. We understand the need of adapting to market-

developments as a transparent, customer-focused business. We focus on providing value to our clients to stay a valued partner in your journey.

Historical Presence - Citroen has had a strong presence in the Australian market since 1923, demonstrating their long-standing commitment to the region.

Current Offerings - The local lineup features a range of vehicles, including the C3, C4 crossover, C5 Aircross SUV, and C5 X fastback crossover.

However, it does not include some of the newer models such as the C3 and C3 Aircross.

Sales Decline - There has been a significant decline in annual sales over the years, with a sharp drop from 3,803 units in 2007 to just 175 units in 2021.

The trend continued, with only 87 vehicles sold in the first half of 2024.

Market Competition - Citroen is facing tough competition from niche luxury brands in Australia, with only McLaren and Rolls-Royce selling fewer units in the first half of 2024.

Warranty Assurance - Inchcape Australia, the local distributor, is pleased to announce that they will be offering a five-year unlimited-mile warranty with capped-price servicing for existing orders.

Official Statement - According to David Owen, the general manager of Citroen Australia, the decision to stop sales is-

influenced by shifting market dynamics and evolving consumer preferences.

Future Support - Even though new vehicle sales have come to an end, Citroen Australia is still dedicated to providing vehicle maintenance for their existing customers.
