GMC has just revealed the brand-new 2025 Terrain compact crossover, which will be available in showrooms later this year.
At first, it will be offered in the Elevation trim, with the rugged AT4 and luxurious Denali versions set to launch next year as 2026 models.
Even though it's slightly shorter than the previous model, the redesigned Terrain offers more interior space. The cargo capacity of the vehicle is 29.8 cubic-
feet as standard, but it can be expanded to 63.5 cubic feet by folding down the rear seats. These figures slightly exceed those of the previous model.
The 2025 Terrain is loaded with enhanced features. Every model comes equipped with an 11-inch digital gauge cluster, a 15-inch infotainment touchscreen, cozy heated-
front seats, a toasty heated steering wheel, and a comprehensive set of electronic driver-assist systems. These advanced systems come equipped with automatic emergency-
braking that includes pedestrian and cyclist detection. They also provide coverage for rear cross-traffic and reversing scenarios.
The AT4 model offers impressive off-road capabilities, featuring a higher ride height, durable skid plates, eye-catching red recovery hooks, 17-inch wheels equipped with all-terrain-
tires, and a dedicated drive mode designed for navigating rough terrain. Meanwhile, the Denali model prioritizes comfort-
and elegance, providing rear heated seats, larger wheel options, and unique dampers for a more refined ride.
Buyers now have the option to choose a sleek two-tone roof in either black or gray, adding a touch of style to their purchase.
The Terrain is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that generates 175 horsepower. Front-wheel drive comes standard, and you also-
have the option to upgrade to all-wheel drive. The towing capacity varies depending on the type of drive: 1,500 pounds for all-wheel drive and 800 pounds for front-wheel drive.
The front-wheel drive option offers 184 lb-ft of torque and comes with a CVT, while the all-wheel-drive models increase torque to 203 lb-ft and come with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The 2025 Terrain is built on the same platform as the recently revamped Chevrolet Equinox, providing a captivating option for car enthusiasts and compact SUV buyers in its class.
