Important Recall Notice for Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid Owners

Toyota is recalling tens of thousands of vehicles to address a safety issue in some of its newer models.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has shared news of an immediate recall that impacts just the 2023-24 Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles.

Toyota recently shared a press release mentioning that some Corolla Cross Hybrid models might experience unexpected braking in certain situations.

"Sometimes, when drivers apply the brakes while turning, they might notice a stiff brake pedal, which can result in a longer-

stopping distance than expected," Toyota shared. "This defect really increases the chances of a crash."

There's a recall impacting 50,000 vehicles in North America, including 41,000 in the U.S. This specifically involves-

Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles made between June 2022 and September 2024. If you have one of these-

vehicles, it's a great idea to stop by your local Toyota dealer soon to have your car's programs updated.

"Toyota dealers will happily update the skid control ECU software for the brake actuator at no cost," Toyota assured.

Owners can expect to receive a notification by late November 2024.
