Volkswagen unveils Tayron to replace Tiguan Allspace in Europe
By Kevin JosephOctober 10, 2024
Hey there, SUV enthusiasts! Something is thrilling happening over in the UK. While we’ve all been eagerly anticipating the arrival of the next-gen Volkswagen Tiguan in the U.S.,
our friends in Europe are already enjoying a brand-new crossover called the Tayron. It looks like we might get a little glimpse of what the 2025 Tiguan has in store for us.
The Tayron is here to take the place of the Tiguan Allspace, which you may recognize as the longer version of the Tiguan that's been on the roads in the U.S. since 2018.
Volkswagen has suggested that the new Tiguan for the U.S. will utilize the Tayron’s long-wheelbase platform, while also promising some-
special touches in terms of design and features. We’re so excited to finally catch a glimpse of this mystery model at the L.A. auto show in November.
Now, let's chat about the Tayron itself. It's a great-looking ride—about 189 inches long, giving it a bit more space than the current Tiguan while still keeping it stylish next to the larger Atlas.
There's ample room for everyone with seating for five and an optional third row! What do you think about the design?
Classic VW with a fun twist—imagine clean lines, a stylish thin LED light bar, and a trendy full-width taillight.
Inside, it's all about those contemporary vibes. Imagine a stunning 12.6-inch touchscreen that really-
stands out, beautifully paired with elegant open-pore wood trim. It's roomy, chic, and set to impress.
The Tayron really offers a lot of great options under the hood. In Europe, they're kicking things off with a 148-hp mild-hybrid and will soon introduce two plug-in hybrids that offer up to 268 hp.
Even though we may not spot these hybrids in the U.S., the Tayron comes equipped with turbocharged gas and diesel engines that deliver impressive horsepower.
What are the safety and tech features? The Tayron has so much to offer—adaptive cruise control, lane assistance, and a digital rearview mirror are just the start of its amazing features.
Additionally, you can enhance it with fun extras like a voice assistant powered by ChatGPT, a panoramic sunroof, and an impressive Harman Kardon sound system.
Although Volkswagen is keeping the specifics of the U.S. Tiguan a bit of a mystery, the Tayron provides a lot of hints.
We're so excited to see how everything comes together for the new Tiguan when it finally makes its big debut.
Keep an eye out, because this is one crossover you definitely won't want to miss.
