Nissan is finally bringing back the much-loved Silvia. This is a big move in the market for sports cars.

After more than ten years since the IDx idea, Nissan has decided to make a third racing car to go with the Z and GT-R.

Recently, Ivan Espinosa, Nissan's Vice-President of Global Product Strategy, told Australia's Drive magazine that the Silvia would be coming back.

According to Espinosa, early steps of development are already under way, and an electric form should be available by the end of the decade.

Even though fans might not like the idea of an electric engine, strict global emissions rules, especially in Europe, force this change.

Nissan doesn't plan to work with anyone else to make the Silvia like they did with the Toyota Supra or the Subaru BRZ.

Instead, they plan to do everything themselves. This solo method, on the other hand, needs a lot of money, which is hard to do because sports cars are a niche market.

Even with these problems, Nissan's commitment to the Silvia shows how important it is to the company and its loyal fans.

When the Silvia comes back, there aren't many cheap sports cars on the market and a lot of people want SUVs.

Still, the Silvia has a cult following, and similar comebacks like Honda's Prelude have been successful, so there's hope for this market.

Nissan's plan for the new Silvia is to combine new ideas with old favorites. This makes the project special in the world of cars.

Stay tuned, because we can't wait for the Silvia to come back, combining old-school style with new technology.
