New 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport is here

New Generation Coming: Honda is getting ready to launch a new generation of the Passport mid-size SUV.

Brawnier Design Hinted:  The initial glimpse of a more robust front-end design appeared with a shadowy image of the off-road-focused TrailSport model.

Teaser Photos Released:   Exciting new teaser photos and a video reveal the all-terrain SUV being tested in the beautiful Moab, Utah.

Boxier Design:   The new Passport has a boxier design than the previous model.

Upright Front and Rear Ends:  The design features upright front and rear ends along with a flat hood.

Amber Daytime Running Lights: Teasers show off some striking amber daytime running lights peeking through the camouflage.

Large Grille Openings:  The TrailSport model seems to have some pretty big grille openings!

Durable Seven-Spoke Wheels: The SUV features sturdy seven-spoke wheels that look great.

More Powerful Engine: A "new" and "more powerful" 3.5-liter V-6 engine is on the way, probably building on the existing 280-hp engine.

10-Speed Automatic Transmission:   The new Passport will feature a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Torque-Vectoring i-VTM4 System:  It will make use of Honda's torque-vectoring i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system.

Testing in Various Terrains: Honda has been putting the Passport TrailSport through its paces in some tough environments, like-

the rocky terrain of Moab, the sandy dunes in Michigan, and the beautiful trails of the Appalachians.

Fall Unveiling:   This fall, we’ll get to see the exciting unveiling of the 2026 Passport and Passport TrailSport.

Sales Starting Early 2025: Sales are going to start early in 2025.

Increased Off-Road Capability:  The new design and features look like they’re perfect for adventure seekers who love off-roading.
