Important Recall Notice for Acura ZDX Owners

August 23, 2024

Hey there, Acura ZDX owners. A recall has been announced by American Honda Motor for 5,031 ZDX models manufactured between December 19, 2023, and August 1, 2024, in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

There is a recall because of a problem with the electronic brake control module (EBCM) software.

This issue can cause the anti-lock brake system to unexpectedly activate at speeds below 25 mph on dry surfaces.

What You Need to Know: Issue: The EBCM software can sometimes be quite sensitive, which may result in the anti-lock brakes-

-being activated unintentionally and brake pressure being released unexpectedly.

Models Affected: Only the all-wheel-drive (AWD) models are affected, while the two-wheel-drive (2WD) models remain unaffected.

Solution: Acura dealers are happy to update the EBCM software for you at no cost. You have the option to choose a convenient over-the-air update instead of having to visit the dealer.

Notification: Just a heads up, recall notifications will be sent out starting around September 23, 2024.

The Acura ZDX, a crossover with zero emissions, is built on the same platform as the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Cadillac Lyriq. It is also closely related to the Honda Prologue.

The ZDX is available in both single- and dual-motor configurations, featuring 102-kWh batteries. Prices start at $64,500.

The A-Spec version with a single motor has an impressive range of 313 miles per charge.

Next Steps: Please make sure to keep your contact information up-to-date with Acura if you own or lease an affected Acura ZDX.

This will ensure that you receive the recall notification promptly. When you receive the notification, simply follow the instructions to update your vehicle's software.

You have the option to either visit your dealer or choose the over-the-air update. Rest assured that Acura is dedicated to offering safe and reliable vehicles for potential buyers.

Our commitment to our customers' safety and satisfaction is evident in the prompt resolution of this issue. Take care and drive with assurance, The Acura Team
