Ginetta’s Supercar Begins Production with Manual V-8

In March 2019, Ginetta unveiled the Akula at the Geneva Motor Show, with the exciting news that customers could expect their deliveries by January 2020.

Ginetta Akula Deliveries Delayed: After some delays, the production version of the Akula has been unveiled.

Ginetta Akula Engine Specs: The Ginetta Akula is equipped with a mid-mounted naturally aspirated 6.4-liter V-8 engine.

increased Displacement: The engine size has been upgraded from the original 6.0 litres to a more powerful 6.4 litres. 

Ginetta Akula Power Output: The Akula continues to deliver an impressive 600 horsepower, with a slight reduction in torque to 494 pound-feet.

Ginetta Akula Lightweight Design: The Akula is impressively lightweight, thanks to its carbon fiber monocoque and floor, weighing 2,624 pounds.

Akula Gearbox Options: A six-speed manual gearbox sends power to the rear wheels, and there is also the option of a dual-clutch, seven-speed automatic transmission.

Akula Performance Specs: This car is incredibly fast, with an acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed that exceeds 180 mph.

Akula Suspension and Wheels: The Akula boasts a smooth double wishbone suspension and stylish 20-inch wheels.

GINETTA Akula Grand Tourer Features: Even though the Akula has a sporty vibe, it also offers practical features such as a spacious 16.7 cubic feet cargo capacity and a generous 26.4-gallon fuel tank.

Ginetta Akula Aerodynamic Design: The car's aerodynamic elements underwent rigorous testing in a wind tunnel and were inspired by the Ginetta G61-LT-P1 LMP1 race car.

Akula Name Origin: "Akula" is the Russian word for "shark," which perfectly captures the car's sleek and fierce design.
