First Look: America's Favorite VW SUV Gets a Stunning Makeover.

Volkswagen will steal some of the thunder from next week's Los Angeles Auto Show with a reveal of the 2025 Tiguan this Monday, November 20 at 5 p.m. PT (8 p.m. ET).

In fact, they even teased us with an image showing a tail-light on the crossover.

If that sounds familiar, it's because it shares a design with the one found on the European Tayron. They look similar, but the one on the Tiguan has an additional touch of red down along its edges.

Volkswagen has remained tight lipped on details, but the company previously stated that the Tiguan will sit atop a long wheelbase variant of the Tayron.

Look for unique exterior styling, a more specific powertrain combination from what appears in Europe, and U.S.-only features.

We'll have the details next week, but the Tayron is based on VW's MQB evo platform, which has a more rugged design than what underpins's today's Tiguan.

Up front, an illuminated Volkswagen logo is flanked by low-profile LED headlights set above a wide intake and vertical air curtains.

The minimalist interior can carry up to seven passengers and critics a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster,

while an optional 12.9-inch infotainment display is available that sits above the center console.

Other features include ambient light, tri-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and premium open-pore wood trim (for top-end models).

The Tayron comes with a raft of driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian-

and cyclist detection. Other features consist of road sign assist, exit warning and viewing angles from multiple cameras.

Stay tuned for exactly how much the Tiguan is to share with the Tayron.
