The Renegade EV is set to make a comeback in 2027.

Did you hear the news? Jeep plans to reintroduce the Renegade nameplate in 2027, but this time as an electric vehicle (EV)

The upcoming Renegade EV will have its own unique identity, setting it apart from its gas-powered predecessor.

During a presentation to investors, Jeep CEO Antonio Filosa confirmed the return.

Electric Focus: The Renegade has confirmed that only the electric version is currently available.

Still, they have yet to rule out the possibility of gas and hybrid options in the future.

The anticipated price for the upcoming Renegade is below $25,000, possibly excluding tax credits.

Battery Production Challenges: During a recent discussion, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares highlighted the importance of-

utilizing lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) batteries to achieve the affordable price of $25,000.

Jeep and Stellantis do not manufacture LFP batteries in the U.S., which could challenge federal tax credits.

Expanding Jeep Lineup:  Did you hear about the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S? It will be Jeep's first electric vehicle and is expected to hit the market later this year.

The Recon, which is Wrangler-sized, is set to be released in late 2024.

By the end of 2027, a new generation of the Compass will be hitting the market. It's rumored that this version might come with the 4xe plug-in-hybrid powertrain.

Upcoming Product Launches: Next year, we can expect the launch of two exciting new Jeep products on the STLA Large and STLA Medium platforms.

The Cherokee may be constructed on the Medium platform. The Large platform is compatible with the 4xe versions of the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs.

The 2025 Ramcharger plug-in-hybrid pickup could share its powertrains with "range-extender" technology.

Future Models:  By 2027, we can anticipate the arrival of updated models in the Wrangler, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, and Wagoneer lineups.

Last year, some production documents were leaked supporting these updates.
