Renault Austral Facelift: New Lights & Grille for 2025

Hey, did you hear the news? Renault's Austral is getting a facelift! The Austral, set to replace the Kadjar in 2022, will feature Renault's fresh-

corporate design, seen on models such as the Clio, Rafale, and the recently updated Captur.

This updated SUV is expected to debut with some impressive powertrain upgrades soon.

Recent spy photos show updated Austral testing on European mountain roads. Despite considerable concealment, substantial alterations are visible.

Boxy headlights and fewer horizontal DRLs are seen. The photos don't show it, but we expect boomerang-shaped DRLs like the Clio, Captur, and Rafale.

The revised hood replaces the Renault badge notch with a straight leading edge separated from the grille by a plastic filler panel.

This design, like the Rafale, reduces minor collision repair expenses. Espace, a three-row Austral, should get these modifications.

Although back changes are tougher to spot, the hatch-spanning rear lights may be updated.

Since Renault's current dashboard design includes a digital gauge pack and a-

vertically positioned center touchscreen, expect minimal cosmetic changes inside the Austral.

Under the hood, major upgrades are underway. Other markets have 128 hp (130 PS) 1.2 and 158 hp (160 PS) 1.3 mild-

hybrids, but the UK only receives the 197 hp (200 PS) 1.2 E-Tech full-hybrid. Rumor has suggested that 1.2 will be updated to replace 1.3.

We'll have all the information when the revised Austral debuts this autumn or early 2025.
