The Cadillac Optiq, scheduled for release in 2025, features a dual-motor system that provides an impressive 300 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque.

It also offers an estimated range of 300 miles, making it a reliable choice. Priced at $52,895 in the U.S., along with a $1,495 destination fee,

-it falls slightly above the cost of the Tesla Model Y Performance, yet remains more affordable than the larger Cadillac Lyriq.

Their lineup starts with the affordable Luxury 1SC, which is available for just $52,895. The 1SE trim is priced at $55,095,

-while the 1SF and Sport 1SH versions come in at $53,495 and $55,595, respectively. The Optiq's lineup stands out with its impressive single powertrain, equipped with an 85 kWh battery

-pack and dual electric motors. This combination allows for a generous driving range of around 300 miles. With a DC fast charger, you can easily add 79 miles of range in a mere 10 minutes.

Interestingly, the Optiq is $4,300 less than the most affordable Lyriq model. Even though Cadillac plans to phase out the entry-level Lyriq for 2025 and bump up its base

-price by around $4,100, the Optiq still offers a great deal. Plus, GM expects the Optiq to qualify for the full $7,500 federal EV tax credit, making it even more appealing.

In the face of competition from the Tesla Model Y, priced between $44,990 and $51,490, the Optiq truly shines with its premium cabin featuring a

-33-inch curved display and a 19-speaker AKG audio system. This provides a more luxurious experience than the Model Y.
