In February, BMW issued a recall for approximately 80,000 vehicles due to potential concerns with their integrated brake modules.

In a recent development, the recall has now been extended to include approximately 278,000 vehicles worldwide.

This includes models such as the BMW i5, 7 Series, i7, X1, X2, X3, X5, X6, X7, and XM in the US, spanning from 2023 to 2025.

According to CarExpert, there is a global stop-sale on the affected models due to this expansion.

According to BMW Blog, if your vehicle previously received a replacement part due to a recall, it will require another replacement.

There is an issue with the integrated brake system that might not provide the anticipated power assist.

This could potentially lead to longer stopping distances and impact the functionality of the antilock brake and stability control systems.

Fortunately, the mechanical braking and emergency brake functions are still working perfectly
