The VinFast VF9, an upcoming electric SUV from the Vietnamese startup automaker, is anticipated to be available in the market in the near future.

Set for a late 2023 release, VinFast has recently announced a $10,000 reduction in the VF9's price. Deliveries are projected to begin next month.

The VF9 base model, originally priced at $81,000, is now available at $71,000 for the Eco trim. The Plus trim, priced at $75,000,

-offers a range of premium features such as a panoramic glass roof, vegan leather seats, and second-row captain's chairs.

The vehicle also comes with 21-inch wheels, a driver's seat that can be adjusted in 12 different ways and includes ventilation, memory, and massage functions.

The seating for both the front passenger and the second row has been improved as well. All VF9 models come with a

-15.6-inch touchscreen, head-up display, heated driver's seat, and a 13-speaker audio system as standard features.

VinFast is excited to announce that the VF9 will be making its way to dealerships in September. Despite a slight delay, it will still be available as a 2024 model year.

First introduced in 2021 as the VF e36, the VF9 has been seen undergoing road tests in the United States for more than a year, and deliveries have already started in Vietnam.

The Eco trim is certified by the EPA and offers an impressive range of 330 miles per charge. On the other hand, the Plus trim provides a respectable range of 291 miles per charge.

The SUV is equipped with a 123.0-kWh battery pack that powers two electric motors, providing an impressive 402 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque.

The VF9 is impressively quick, going from zero to 62 mph in just 6.6 seconds. It also charges rapidly, going from 10 to 70 percent in only 35 minutes when using a DC fast-charger.

The VF9 will be in direct competition with the Kia EV9 and Rivian R1S, both of which also provide three-row seating, despite their higher price tags.
