Toyota Replaces Over 100,000 Engines for Free

Are you a Tundra or LX owner? This is good news if you've neglected the warm-up on a busy morning. Toyota will replace 100,000 engines for free.

What’s the Issue? Toyota recalled 98,568 Tundras and 3,524 Lexus LX600s for crankshaft seizure in May.

How Did We Get Here? Toyota discovered the problem in March 2022 after receiving an engine failure report. By year's end, further reports-

The Recall Plan: Following thorough testing and ongoing reports in 2023 and 2024, Toyota announced a recall in May.
