Toyota Replaces Over 100,000 Engines for Free

Are you a Tundra or LX owner? This is good news if you've neglected the warm-up on a busy morning. Toyota will replace 100,000 engines for free.

After finding a problem with the non-hybrid 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 engines, Toyota was gracious. Replacement of 102,092 engines is-

expensive, but Toyota feels it's the best approach to assure vehicle dependability and safety.

What’s the Issue? Toyota recalled 98,568 Tundras and 3,524 Lexus LX600s for crankshaft seizure in May.

Debris from the production process caused engine difficulties and driving hazards.

How Did We Get Here? Toyota discovered the problem in March 2022 after receiving an engine failure report. By year's end, further reports-

prompted Toyota to increase engine cleaning at its Alabama factory. But that didn't help the thousands of cars already on the road.

The Recall Plan: Following thorough testing and ongoing reports in 2023 and 2024, Toyota announced a recall in May.

After two months, they have successfully completed a detailed plan to replace the impacted engines.

What Does This Mean for You? Regardless of whether your vehicle has displayed any issues, you are eligible for a new engine.

At Toyota, we prioritize your satisfaction and strive to provide you with a vehicle that will run smoothly and safely for many years.

Keep an eye out for further updates, and if you have any inquiries, reach out to your nearby Toyota or Lexus dealer.
