European Market Entry: The 500e has been available in Europe since 2020.

U.S. Sales Expectations: It turns out it wasn't anticipated to be a big hit in the U.S., with just 204 units sold so far.

Production Pause Announcement: Fiat has decided to pause production of the Electric 500e Hatchback because of a European sales dip.

Factory Suspension Details: Production at the Mirafiori factory in Turin, Italy, will take a little break for four weeks starting September 13.

Reason for Suspension: The pause is because there aren't enough orders in the European market.

Previous Production Stoppages: Stellantis had previously paused production from mid-February to early March and then again from late April to early August.

Late 2023 Production Pause: A suspension took place again in late 2023.

Hybrid Version Plans: Stellantis has some exciting plans for a hybrid version of the 500e in Europe, expected to arrive by 2025-2026.

Factory Investment: The automaker is putting $110 million into the Mirafiori factory to improve battery performance.

Current Model Specs: The latest 500e comes with a 117-hp electric motor that drives the front wheels.

Battery Capacity: The battery capacity is around 37.0 kWh. Range Estimates: The estimated range by the EPA is 141 miles.

Highway Range Test: Car and Driver's test revealed a range of 120 miles when cruising at 75 mph.

Awaiting Fiat's Comment: Car and Driver has contacted Fiat to get their thoughts on the suspension.
